Fan Expo came to Toronto for a few days this weekend.   If the person beside you on the subway was dressed up in some sort of costume, perhaps they were heading to Fan Expo.  Prizes were award to the best costumes and from what I saw when I hung out around the convention centre, the competition was quite steep.

Here are some examples of the people that I saw.

  1. Margie from Toronto says:

I used to go to Fan Expo and Toronto Trek every year but it has gotten to be big that it’s become a real marathon. I now what with a cane and the crowds and physical size of the Convention Centre just became too much.
But I was always impressed by how polite and easy going everyone seemed to be and how imaginative some of the costumes were.
One of my earliest memories was having lunch at a restaurant down the street – there was an entire family dressed as Klingons at a nearby table – the waitress didn’t even blink! 🙂
