Casa Fuster

Twenty eight years ago Jose Rodriguez Fuster (b. 1946) moved into the Jaimanitas neighborhood in the northwest outskirts of Havana.  Ever since, he has been working on a mosaic installation that includes his house and walls (fences) as well as those of his neighbours.  About eighty houses have been decorated in that time.  The exterior of his own house, and the courtyard in front of it, are covered with tiles and mosaic murals as well.  There are also numerous statues, sculptures and other structures.

    Mary – Fantastic shots! I am so glad you went “overboard” – you captured so many details and pieces that I had totally overlooked. I also love seeing the same location through another perspective! Can’t wait to see the rest!
