The Don Jail and Bridgepoint Hospital
The Don Jail is officially called the Toronto Jail but it is rarely referred to as that. The stone building was built between 1862 and 1865. It was designed by the architect William Thomas in 1852; he also designed St. Lawrence Hall. The original parts of the Don Jail are now owned, and being renovated, by Brigdepoint Health.
